The growing sport of mountain biking has taken hold here in the Western U.P. Three complete trail systems to ride on make this a biker's paradise. Just about anywhere you stay someone can point out a favorite trail.
The Pines & Mines Mountain Bike Trail System is located in Iron County, Wisconsin, and in the Ottawa National Forest. With over 200 miles you can enjoy easy riding back roads or out in the middle of nowhere trial riding.
The Powderhorn loop of the Wolverine Trail system is intermediate to advance, single and double track riding.
Copper Peak Mountain Bike Park is ready to challenge your skills. You can ride the tough trails or enjoy a pathway through the woods. The chair lift will carry you up for the thrill of the downhill.
Every Tuesday night in summer the Fat Tire Club rides somewhere and everyone is welcome. The rides are guided, 10 to 15 miles of off-road fun.
